What a Great Story! By: Michael Randall
Hermanos betteros y amantes de la naturaleza acuarista. Aqui les presento la historia que escribio el senor Michael Randall. Como sabemos es amante de los peces betta y junto a el grupo B.E.T.T.A. se dedica a crear conciencia debidi a que algunas personas tienen la idea de que el betta solo puede vivir en pequenas copas de cristal ect,ect.
Aunque habia pasado un largo tiempo en que el no posteaba nada el quizo contar una historia de algo que realmente toco su corazon, y se lo comento a los miembros del grupo pues para eso mismo es el grupo,(protejer los bettas).
*Hi all...I know it's been a LOOONNNGGG time since I have posted, but I wanted to share a story that really touches home about what this group means...*I got an email the other day from a woman named Gail in Kentucky who had been on a road trip with her husband and family..and they stopped in a town and there was a pet store. They went in and she said all she could see was a ton of bettas in little cups. The family started looking through and by the time they were done..they had counted 37 dead and most of the rest ill or near death!
Recibi un mensaje de una mujer de Kentucky llamada Gail, ella iba por la carretera con su esposo y su familia un dia familiar y pararon en una tienda para mascotas localizada en un pueblo. Ellos entraron a la tienda y ella vio un monton de bettas en unos pequenos recipientes de cristal entonces la familia noto que los peces se estaban muriendo ella conto 37 peces muertos y los otros estaban a punto de morir.
*When her family went to the manager...he said it didn't matter..they were cheap and they'll just get more... So Gail and her faily pooled their money and bought ALL of the remaining bettas and brought them home with them! She admits she's a little overwhelmed by having so many (she told me 62 total) but her family has chimed in and is helping her. She said she knew it was extreme to buy them all..but she just couldn't drive away leaving them there to die. She hopes to find good homes for them, although most of them have been divided amongst her family already to keep as pets!
Cuando la familia le pregunto al encargado el dijo que eso no importaba ellos costaron muy barratos y ellos encargaban mas.Asi que Gail y su familia compraron los pecesy se los llevaron a la casa. Ella admitio que se sentia abrumada por tener tantos peces eran 62 en total, pero su familia la ayudo. Ella tuvo la esperanza de encontrar hogar para ellosy logro dividirlos en su familia lo que algunos tomaron como mascota.
She sent me the email because she had come across my website before and it was on my website she learned of our group and how to care for bettas!
Ella llego a mi pagina y aprendio de esto por eso me envio un email.
Yo la Aplaudo a ella y su familia yo no le diria a nadie que compre 62 peces casi muerto debido a que eso es un arduo o duro trabajo. Pero la bondad de corazon hace la diferencia.

I applaud her and her family, though I would never tell anyone to buy 62 near death bettas at one time! That would be alot of work! But that is the kind of heart that will make a difference one day!~Michael
